What’s an STI?

Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) are very common. Anyone who has unprotected sex can get an STI – it doesn’t matter if you’re straight, lesbian, gay, transgender, or questioning (LGBTQ); if you have one or more multiple sexual partners; or if you have vaginal, oral or anal sex.

Although not all STIs are curable, they all can be managed and treated. If left untreated they may cause serious health problems, including life-threatening infections and infertility. Protect yourself. Protect your partner(s). The more you know, the more you can prevent the spread of STIs.
